Huge reinforcing cages for precast production
BEST produced 3200 tons of fixed-ready beam baskets and delivered them to two German precast factories. More than 350 tons had to be welded and delivered on time per month. The challenge was the length and complexity of the required beam reinforcement.
According to the car manufacturer, the heart of the Audi Group beats at its German location in Ingolstadt. BEST was involved in the prefabrication during the expansion of the production site in 2016 and 2017..
The precast factories as clients benefited from a double advantage: firstly, the space conditions in the precast factory were not sufficient to bind the necessary beams on site. Secondly, the personnel resources for manual laying work were not available at that time.
This amount of welded baskets could only be accomplished with an appropriate number of welding stations in the hall and with sufficient personnel, including the necessary foremen.
Best delivered the required quality material grade BST 500, which is necessary for the German market.
